What a fun wedding! I love when weddings have themes. There are more black and white pictures than usual in this post since I feel like they go well with the old Hollywood glamour theme. I was there four hours before the ceremony which gave me plenty of time to get the details as well as shots of the girls getting ready. Nikki got ready at the ceremony location which was the Al Ringling Theatre in Baraboo, Wisonconsin which first opened in 1915. After the ceremony we took a drive around the block in an old Mustang and then took some more portraits at the town square and the steps of City Hall. The reception was held in the nearby town of Wisconsin Dells at the Wintergreen Resort.

Labor Day weekend was definitely a popular one for weddings. I shot three last weekend and it started with Jenna and Luke’s wedding in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I was so excited to get to this wedding that I got a warning for speeding. Seriously, I did. I was only going 68 in a 55 mph zone so it wasn’t too bad and everyone else was doing it! That excuse never works though. Let me also add that this was the day before and not the day of the wedding for anyone who thinks I may have been running late!

I started at the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish near downtown Oshkosh. Jenna got ready in a room at the church while guests arrived. Her sisters who were her bridesmaids also sang during the ceremony and played the piano…talk about multi-tasking! Afterwards, we took some formal portraits near the church before Jenna and Luke got in his decorated 1959 Ford to go to the reception.

At the reception they had a photo displayed near the cake of them from when they dated in high school!

Last weekend I shot two weddings. On Saturday I went to Kenosha, Wisconsin to document the wedding of Ashley and Kurt.

Best weather yet. Sunny and the perfect temperature. Kelly and Jeremy both got ready at the Celebration Church in Green Bay. Having known each other since 6th grade, this couple was ready to tie the knot!

How often is July 4th on a Saturday when people get married AND the groom is in the armed forces? Not often so I thought this was cool.

The reception was at the Holiday Inn City Center in Green Bay. It was a madhouse on the 4th with everyone in town sitting along the river getting ready for the fireworks.
