Whew! A week packed with seminars from the top wedding photographers in the world. Inspirational, educational and fun all at the same time! Here is a photo I took during a workshop with Jim Garner who is one of the top 10 wedding photographers according to American Photo Magazine.

Several of my photos featured in the new issue of Wedding Guide Chicago . I have additional copies of it so if you’d like me to send you a free one, please contact me through my contact form and include your address and I’ll get one out to you!

It’s nice to be recognized by other people in the industry and since I haven’t posted on this before, here are some images of mine that won awards in contests last year with The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association…
“The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association [AG]WPJA is a group of international wedding photojournalists, who capture unscripted wedding moments as they happen, and excel in the art of post-production image processing. The [AG]WPJA is a division within the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA); one which specifically promotes Fine Art Wedding Photojournalism.”

This past week I had the opportunity to meet and mingle with some of the best wedding photographers in the business at a conference in New Orleans. The last day I had shooting workshop with the fabulous wedding photographer Grant Oakes who I saw speak during a seminar the day before. I really enjoyed being able to work with models and practice on “brides” when it wasn’t the biggest day of their lives! It gave me a little room to experiment more and take a few risks that I otherwise wouldn’t have. Here are a few photos from that shoot…

Some locals were checking us out!

Whoo Hoo!!!! I can’t say that I’ve been wanting these for long because I haven’t but after seeing them a few times I’ve decided that they’re pretty cool. So, as a present to myself I got them and now I’m addicted. Here are a couple of experimental things I’ve done to some photos from recent shoots just to play around…Enjoy!

I’m going to try to not go overboard with these but for now I’m having fun!

For all the football fans out there… after the wedding on Saturday, we decided to visit Lambeau Field which is home to the Green Bay Packers. Interesting info: they host wedding receptions here for a reasonable fee (comparable to the Hilton is what the guide said). How cool is that?

Walking up the to the side entrance…

From a different angle…

These are everywhere. Surprise!

Statue of Vince Lombardi. Legendary coach who coached the Packers from 1959-1967.

The main entrance.

A shot of the Packers flag and the residential neighborhood across the street.

Posters of great players.

A poster of the stadium the year renovations were completed.

The players tunnel that we ran through out to the field…

WOW.
